    dining table
  • A table on which meals are served in a dining room

  • a table at which meals are served; "he helped her clear the dining table"; "a feast was spread upon the board"

  • A table is a type of furniture comprising an open, flat surface supported by a base or legs. It may be used to hold articles such as food or papers at a convenient or comfortable height when sitting, and is therefore often used in conjunction with chairs.

  • (Dining Tables) The first dining tables of which survivors remain are the type known as refectory tables. They are made usually of oak, and one of the earliest, at Penshurst Place in Kent, has a typical thick top of joined planks supported on three separate trestles.

  • Impoverished

  • facing or experiencing financial trouble or difficulty; "distressed companies need loans and technical advice"; "financially hard-pressed Mexican hotels are lowering their prices"; "we were hard put to meet the mortgage payment"; "found themselves in a bad way financially"

  • dysphoric: generalized feeling of distress

  • Suffering from anxiety, sorrow, or pain

  • (of furniture, leather, or clothing) Having simulated marks of age and wear

  • stressed: suffering severe physical strain or distress; "he dropped out of the race, clearly distressed and having difficulty breathing"

  • a coniferous tree

  • ache: have a desire for something or someone who is not present; "She ached for a cigarette"; "I am pining for my lover"

  • Used in names of unrelated plants that resemble the pines in some way, e.g., ground pine

  • straight-grained durable and often resinous white to yellowish timber of any of numerous trees of the genus Pinus

  • Used in names of coniferous trees of other families, e.g., Norfolk Island pine

  • An evergreen coniferous tree that has clusters of long needle-shaped leaves. Many kinds are grown for their soft timber, which is widely used for furniture and pulp, or for tar and turpentine

Here is my take for this week's DISTRESS challenge. I have to admit, this is my first time "distressing" and honestly, it's quite fun! Thanks HA for coming out with such a great challenge!!

All stamps used are by HA. I ripped my main white paper to accomplish that distress/vintage look. I used Versamagic chalk GINGERBREAD by Tsukineko to ink the edges. Found this corrugated paper from Joanns and thought what a nice way to use as my layer. On that, I used Ranger Tea Dye to ink, once again, the edges. Main tool edge distresser is by Heidi Swapp I totally forgot I have..oppss!! Came really handy for this challenge! :o)

Pearls are by Memory Box. Colored with Copics, added Orange Peel Stickles at the end of some buds to add sparkles. String by Darice, button by SEI and Spiral punch by SU. Hope you all like it and many thanks for stopping by!! :o)

Union Flag - Upside down.
I've passed this a few times recently. Today the weather was perfect for capturing it. As I began shooting, a chap was outside the house tidyng the pavement area. I asked him if he lived there and he replied that he did. "Do you know it's upside down?" I asked, gesturing to the flag.
"Yes" he replied with a smile, "A few people have told me, I've been on the internet" "Distress signal" we both said together and laughed.

The broad white stripes nearest the flag pole should be above the red stripes.
